Director’s Welcome

The master’s program in biomedical sciences at Vanderbilt University was launched in 2018 with the goal of helping students increase their competitiveness for medical and health professional schools. As the program director, I will work with you to design an individualized curriculum to increase your science preparedness and to perform well on the MCAT.  I have over 25 years of experience working in admissions both with PhD programs and MD-PhD programs as well as advising Vanderbilt undergraduate students for 8 years as Director of the Health Professions Advisory Office.

The program is small, allowing for individualized mentoring and advising. We also offer students engaging didactic courses, research opportunities, clinical experiences, and volunteer activities to put together a strong application package.

I encourage you to read more about the program and how it can help you accomplish your career goals.

Sincerely,
Michelle Grundy, Ph.D.
