I am an Assistant Professor and SC Family Dean’s Faculty Fellow in the Vanderbilt University Department of Biological Sciences (Jan. 2017 – present). Research in my lab focuses on the evolution of immune systems and the evolutionary ecology of host-microbe interactions. Before moving to Vanderbilt I was a USDA NIFA postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Houston. I completed my Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University and my B.S. at Rice University.
