Director’s Welcome
Welcome to the RPW Center! Located in the historic Vaughn Home, the RPW Center serves as an intellectual hub on Vanderbilt University’s campus. We provide the space and resources for interdisciplinary research and scholarship to flourish.
On any given day, you might find a group of faculty members and graduate students from multiple departments engaged in lively discussion during a seminar meeting, or you might find undergraduate students collecting paint samples as they use the Vaughn Home as a learning lab for a course on historic preservation. We also host many of our signature events online to reach a larger humanities audience, like our reading and discussion with Pulitzer prize-winning author Natalie Diaz.
No matter how or where our events take place, our goal is to offer faculty, students, staff, and the community rich humanities programming that encourages conversation, builds connections, and deepens scholarship.
If you’d like to learn more about our upcoming programs and events, be sure to subscribe to our newsletter.
We hope you will engage with us on the exciting, innovative events and programming that we offer.
My best,
Holly Tucker
