Director’s Welcome

Welcome to the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities! The center is very much a center: a point where faculty and students from across the university come together to pursue interdisciplinary research and scholarship. The center provides space and support for seminars, lectures, drop-in sessions, and above all, community. Faculty, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows are welcome to participate. Our aim and purpose is to support scholars as they build connections personal and intellectual that enrich the humanities at Vanderbilt and beyond, producing innovative, exciting projects that make the world a better place.
