Davis Recht graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt in 2024 with a double major in Public Policy Studies and Climate Studies and a minor in Human and Organizational Development. His Public Policy major had a concentration in Environmental, Resource, and Energy Policy. He also studied abroad at Trinity College Dublin, completed research in the Drinking Water Justice Lab and the Climate, Health, and Energy Equity Lab, and interned at the United States Department of State. During his time at Vanderbilt Davis also devoted himself to Project Campfire, his nonprofit providing bedding, toiletries, and clothing items to over 6,000 children at a summer camp in Kentucky. Upon graduation, Davis joined Clearloop, a solar utility company. In the fall of 2024, he will begin a Master of Environmental Management at Yale’s School of the Environment, where he received a scholarship.

“The world is at such an important moment in the fight against climate change, and it excites me that I am stepping into a position to help create the change I want to see,” Davis stated. “In the future, I would love to return to the Department of State with a focus on environmental issues to help accelerate the United States’ decarbonization efforts. I have many passions, so I cannot wait to see where my journey takes me!”
