William Franke BA’20: Interning in Government Finance
In summer 2019, William interned for the Metro Finance Department in Nashville. Two of his main projects were to update Metro’s revenue manual, and to design, write, and publish the FY2018 Citizen Centric Report for the Finance Department. The Citizen Report, which received a Certificate of Excellence from the Association of Government Accountants, gave him the opportunity to detail the responsibilities and accomplishments of the Finance Department for the citizens of Nashville. William continued his work with Metro in Fall 2019 by working collaboratively with the Public Property Division and the General Services Department on a real estate project as his senior capstone.
