Ready to inspire the next generation? Vanderbilt offers two structured pathways for mathematics majors pursuing teaching certification:

Double major

• Combine a Mathematics major (College of Arts & Science) with Secondary Education (Peabody College)
• Earn dual bachelor’s degrees in 4 years
• Complete licensure requirements alongside degree coursework
• Ideal for students committed early to teaching careers

Fifth-Year Master’s Program

• First complete your BA in Mathematics
• Then enroll in Peabody’s intensive 1-year M.Ed. program
• Includes summer and academic year coursework
• Earn both M.Ed. and teaching licensure
