Prof. Bohmann elected to Council of the American Mathematical Society
Prof. Anna Marie Bohmann was recently elected to a three-year term as a Member at Large of the Council for the American Mathematical Society. This is a highly visible and impactful position at the national level. The Council is the body that formulates the scientific policies of the Society and acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees. The Council includes fifteen members at large, its Executive Committee, the Officers of the Society, and representatives of the primary journals of the Society. The duties are to legislate for the Society on matters concerned with “the furtherance of the interests of mathematical scholarship and research.” You can see the full election results here:
