Welcoming visiting Professor Cabrelli and Professor Molter
The Department of Mathematics is pleased to host Carlos Cabrelli, Professor and Investigador Superior (the highest researcher rank in CONICET), along with Ursula Molter, Professor (and former Director of the IMAS UBA/CONICET the largest mathematics institute in Argentina). They are visiting the Department of Mathematics through the Vanderbilt Global Scholar Program.
Professors Cabrelli and Molter will collaborate with members of the Department of Mathematics, as well as with colleagues from various departments at Vanderbilt University. Their visit commences on February 1st, 2024, and will span four weeks under this program. Subsequently, their engagement at the Department of Mathematics will continue, hosted by Professor Akram Aldroubi. The visit will culminate in a marquee event, the Shanks Workshop, scheduled from March 1-3, 2024, which will focus on modern harmonic analysis and its applications.
