Space 204 to welcome “Comma: Infinity In A Box” – an exhibition founded in collaborative spirit
The Department of Art at Vanderbilt University and Space 204 proudly presents “Comma: Infinity In A Box” an exhibition presented by artist team, Judy Rushin-Knopf and Carolyn Henne. Comma presents an ongoing artist book project that presented opportunities for Rushin-Knopf and Henne to collaborate with 14 other artists.
Judy Rushin-Knopf’s and Carolyn Henne’s common interest in the language of materials has driven Comma for a decade. They began working together as faculty colleagues at Florida State University in 2015, inviting small teams of artists to collaborate on editioned collections of objects designed to be handled and used to spark curiosity and conversation. Since Comma’s first boxed set, they have produced four and a half editions (Volume 2, Fragments, includes both a standard and cardboard edition). Comma boxes reside in the collections of the Frick Fine Arts Library in Pittsburg and numerous individuals.
