About half of Arts and Science students study abroad during their undergraduate years. Programs range from summer sessions to full-year experiences. Your financial aid can typically be applied to approved programs.
Gain real-world experience through internships on campus, in Nashville, or across the country. The Career Center can help you find opportunities, and financial assistance or course credit is often available. Internships are popular across all fields of study and provide valuable connections between classroom learning and professional experience.
Immersion Vanderbilt is a unique program that takes learning out of the classroom and into the real world. In the two-part program, students design their own immersive experience based on their personal interests and then complete a culminating project.
Within six months of graduation, 90% of Arts and Science graduates are employed or continuing their education. Our alumni succeed in diverse fields including finance, consulting, technology, education, government, law, health care, and more. The alumni network is extremely active and works extensively with the Career Center to provide mentoring, internships, and job opportunities for students.
The vast majority (84%) of our students are accepted to their first or second choice of graduate schools. They go on to study at top universities including Columbia, University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, Duke, and Harvard, among others. Popular paths include law school, medical school, Ph.D. programs, and MBA programs.
