The College of Arts and Science Office of Research helps to ensure the success of the college's research activities by increasing the impact and prominence of faculty and student work. The office invests in research initiatives, promotes A&S research among sponsors, and helps to ensure that faculty, students, and staff adhere to the highest ethical standards in research-related work. Our office also offers guidance and resources for grant development and grant management.
We are your point of contact for:
- Notice of intent to submit a proposal (for university-administered awards)
- Submission of research proposals
- Identifying sources of research funding, both inside and outside the university
- Preparing investigators for funding strategies and proposal preparation
- Participation in, and initiation of, major interdisciplinary research programs and formation of research units
- Financial disclosures or conflict-of-interest statements
- Complaints pertaining to research misconduct
- Bridge funding when there is a lapse in externally sponsored funding
Please note that departmental grant managers and administrators partner with us to facilitate pre-award and post-award sponsored research activities. We may refer you to the grant manager or administrator within your department for further assistance.
