Why Quantum Information Science and Engineering? Quantum technology is an emerging field that has the potential to revolutionize many areas of science and technology, from computing to sensing to communication. With faculty expertise from both the College of Arts and Science and the School of Engineering, this interdisciplinary minor combines and draws on physical science, mathematics, computer science, and engineering to prepare students for careers in the rapidly evolving fields of quantum engineering and quantum computation.
