Participating in Research
Research Study Participation
Our faculty, research fellows, graduate students, and undergraduates are involved in a variety of research studies. This research includes a wide range of laboratory experiments and brain imaging studies on fundamental aspects of perception, cognition, and emotion. A lot of this important research would not be possible without the participation of research volunteers.
If you are interested in serving as a research volunteer and enrolling in research studies for course credit and/or for pay, you will need to sign up via Sona Systems. After you register and set up your account, and your account is approved, you will be able to learn about the studies available for participation. A Sona Systems tutorial is available for viewing.
Students interested in receiving course credit for participating in research studies should read the instructions for setting up an account and signing up for studies using the Sona System. Through Sona System, you can sign up for studies and track your progress throughout the semester.
Subjects interested in receiving pay for participating in research studies should refer to these instructions for the Sona System.
If you are interested in working in a lab as a researcher, learn more about conducting research.
