Jewish Studies Celebrates Undergraduate Awardees
Jewish Studies faculty and students had a chance to celebrate the beginning of the fall semester at our reception in August 2025. We also had a chance to celebrate the winners of our two undergraduate awards:
Matthew McCullough won the 2025 Jewish Studies Essay Contest for his essay “From Blood to Bones: Itzik Feffer’s Evolving Soviet Jewish Poetics” written for the course “Jews and The Left: A Global History”. Professor Sam Finkelman spoke about Matthew’s original and creative arguments in the essay.
