Honors Program

The European Studies program offers qualified students the option of an Honors Program.  To be admitted to the program students must have obtained a minimum grade point average of 3.000;  identify an advisor for the honors thesis; submit a detailed description of their proposed program of study for approval by the director of European Studies; complete 3 hours of independent research (normally EUS 4998); complete 3 hours of credit in EUS 4960, Senior Tutorial; and write a thesis of approximately 50 pages, which the student must defend before a committee ordinarily consisting of the advisor, the director of European Studies, and another faculty member.Information concerning the Honors Program is available from the director of European Studies.
