Why Communication of Science and Technology? The biggest challenge facing science is effective communication. We are living with the consequences of science communication failures: COVID, climate change, vaccinations, GMO’s, antimicrobial resistance, masks, no masks, alternative facts, no facts. Poor science communication results in a disconnect between scientists, the public, and the value of science. CSET students will learn to communicate science to a wide variety of audiences, bridging citizens and scientists, helping to inform the public and empower decision-making.
