Sharece Thrower, associate professor of political science, has won the 2023 Richard E. Neustadt Book Award from the American Political Science Association. The award celebrates the best book published that contributed to research and scholarship in the field of the American presidency. Her book, Checks in the Balance: Legislative Capacity and the Dynamics of Executive Power was co-authored with Alexander D. Bolton.
