Biography:

Payson Johnston is an Assistant Professor of the Practice of Business at Vanderbilt University. An experienced educator, scholar, and serial entrepreneur with decades of marketplace leadership, he integrates deep business expertise into academic design. Johnston has taught across undergraduate, MBA, and executive levels at the University of San Francisco, the UC Berkeley Extension, and the University of Tennessee Southern. His pedagogy is informed by his early career in global supply chain leadership at Cisco and his entrepreneurial experience, where managing complex ecosystems shaped his approach to organizational development.
