Seok Bae Jang
Senior Lecturer in Asian Studies (Korean)
Seok Bae Jang studied Korean linguistics at Yonsei University and computational linguistics at Georgetown University. He is interested in Korean language education, Korean linguistics, corpus linguistics and computational linguistics. His research is focusing on blended learning, ICALL (Intelligent Computer-Assisted Language Learning), statistical analysis of large Korean corpora and Korean learner data.
He has been teaching all levels of Korean language classes at several colleges – Wellesley College, MIT, Georgia Institute of Technology, Brigham Young University and Georgetown University. He also served as the Korean program coordinator and the director of study abroad program in Korea at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Jang received his PhD in Korean Language Education and Informatics in 2015 from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
