The Department of History of Art and Architecture congratulates our colleague Prof. Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons, Cornelius Vanderbilt Endowed Chair in the Fine Arts, who was recently named as part of the 2023 class of MacArthur Foundation fellows. The multidisciplinary artist was recognized for her path-breaking work "exploring personal and collective histories across the Caribbean with a distinctive and expansive visual style."  The Department of History of Art and Architecture has collaborated  with Prof. Campos-Pons on the Engine for Art, Democracy and Justice from its inception.
