Our department, in collaboration with the Career Center, is excited to offer undergraduate students an opportunity to dive deeply into the artistic and technical dimensions of theatrical and live performance. We are currently offering the Live Entertainment – Production Badge starting in Fall 2024 with the Live Entertainment – Performance Badge launching in Spring 2025.
About the Badge
The Live Entertainment – Production Badge offers an immersive exploration into various aspects of theatrical production. Students will gain hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Stage Management
- Set Design
- Technical Design
- Lighting Design
- Sound Design
- Prop Design
- Costume Design
- Hair/Make Up Design
This badge is meant to be pursued alongside your major, allowing you to integrate and enhance your primary course of study with interdisciplinary skills. Through active participation in theatre productions, both on and off-campus, you will work under the guidance of experienced faculty, contributing to the design and execution of production elements.

Q: What if I’m about to graduate and have already completed these tasks? A: No problem! You can retroactively submit your completed tasks and receive credit. Ensure all tasks are completed before graduation.
Q: Is there a badge for Performance? A: Yes! The Live Entertainment – Performance Badge will be available starting Spring 2025.
Q: How long does it take to earn a badge? A: Typically, earning the badge takes between two to four years, depending on your pace and involvement. For those starting this having completed tasks, you can retroactively complete and submit tasks.
Q: Do I have to complete all levels? A: No, you are welcome to complete as many levels as you choose!
