Mollie Rubin

Mollie Rubin is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Peabody College. She is also a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology. Dr. Rubin’s research is focused on improvement of K-12 public education, chiefly the intersection of education policy and the organizational contexts in which reform efforts occur. She is particularly interested in the topics of program implementation and evaluation, school and district leadership, professional learning, and teacher quality. Dr. Rubin is an expert in qualitative research methods, including study design, fieldwork, and analysis. She earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her doctoral studies, she was a middle school teacher in Brooklyn, NY.
