\nRed-bellied Woodpeckers tapped away,
\nWhile unseen Downys also play.<\/p>\n
From Pileateds with echoing knock,
\nTo Kingbirds and Vireos part of the flock,
\nBlue Jays screeched within the breeze,
\nChickadees and Titmice flit with ease.<\/p>\n
Carolina Wrens, their songs so sweet,
\nNorthern Swallows swooped so neat,
\nGnatcatchers danced on invisible thread,
\nKinglets crowned with ruby red.<\/p>\n
Eastern Bluebirds, thrushes too,
\nGolden finches, in gold and blue,
\nSparrows rustled through the leaves,

Red-winged Blackbirds in marshy bands,

\nWarblers striped and warblers plain,
\nEach unique, part of nature’s refrain.<\/p>\n
Cardinals, the last, in radiant hue,
\nCapped our list as we withdrew.
