Person-Centered Psychological Interventions for Chronic Pain
This seminar will address the varying layers of clinical complexity in working with chronic pain conditions in psychotherapy. We will discuss a multi-year NIH-funded project that qualitatively assessed patient experiences with a specific pelvic pain condition and used this information to inform intervention development. Results of a randomized controlled trial piloting the intervention will then be presented, emphasizing tailored, patient-centered approaches to pain care.
