Join us in congratulating Professor and Associate Provost Alan Wiseman and Associate Professor Shatema Threadcraft on their awards from the American Political Science Association! Professor Wiseman has been awarded the chance to deliver the Barbara Sinclair Lecture for achievement in promoting the understanding of the U.S. Congress and legislative politics and Professor Threadcraft has earned not one, but two awards for her recent book, The Labors of Resurrection: Black Women, Necromancy, and Morrisonian Democracy; the Ralph J. Bunche Award for best scholarly work in political science that explores the phenomenon of ethnic and cultural pluralism as well as the Victoria Schuck Award for best book published on women and politics.
