Climate Committee

The Department of Physics & Astronomy aims to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our students, faculty and staff.

  • Center for Student Wellbeing - mission is to create a culture that supports the personal development and academic success of students using an integrative, holistic framework
  • Assisting Students of Concern Website and Reporting Form - As a student, faculty, staff member, or family member you may recognize a fellow Commodore in distress who may benefit from wellness support and professional resources
  • University Counseling Center - offers services to all Vanderbilt students including crisis and trauma-informed care, short-term individual counseling, group psychotherapy (process and skill-building), psychiatric services, LD/ADHD assessment, alcohol and drug evaluations/counseling, biofeedback, and community outreach
  • Office of the Dean of Students - provides a critical support structure for enriching the overall student experience 
  • Project Safe - 615-322-SAFE (7233) - resources for those impacted by gender and sexual harassment, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking and more
  • Margaret Cuninggim Women's Center - an affirming space for all members of the Vanderbilt community that acknowledges and actively resists sexism, racism, homophobia, and all forms of oppression while advocating for positive social change
  • University Chaplain and Religious Life - supports the spiritual and religious growth of all Vanderbilt community members while encouraging the ongoing development of interfaith literacy and dialogue
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI) Life - a cultural center and a place of affirmation for individuals of all identities, and a resource for information and support about gender and sexuality
