On Friday, September 13, 2024, the Department of Mathematics held a Tea + Cookies event, open to the Vanderbilt community. While we did not count attendees, we can confidently announce that over 400 Crumbl (and Christie\u2019s) cookie units were consumed (1 large Crumbl cookie = 4 cookie units).<\/p>\n

Aside from the cookies, tea, and a rousing game of Chromino, there was lively conversation between faculty and students. We received many constructive comments from our students about our courses. We will follow up as a department with further discussion, an action plan, and open dialogue with our students.<\/p>\n

The Math Faculty + Students series will continue in the coming weeks with Math Yoga (Friday September 20) and Math Ice Cream (tba). We hope to see you there!<\/p>\n
