Shuxian Song awarded Simons Dissertation Fellowship
Shuxian Song, a rising 4th year graduate student, has received a Simons Dissertation Fellowship. This fellowship comes with $15K per year for two years to support Shuxian’s research. Approximately 40 fellowships were given in Mathematics this year.
Shuxian studies topology and geometric group theory with Prof. Dan Margalit. The title of her proposal is “Mapping Class Groups and Veering Triangulations.”
