The Program in Jewish Studies is pleased to welcome Julia Watts Belser from Georgetown University to speak on, “Reading Noah’s Ark in the Age of Climate Change: Jewish Stories on Gender, Disability, and the Politics of Survival.”

The event will take place on Monday, January 27 at noon in Buttrick 123. A kosher vegetarian lunch will be provided.

Talk description:

This talk draws on Watts Belser’s scholarship on the Talmud to examine rabbinic traditions about Noah and the Flood in light of contemporary questions of environmental justice.
