The Ream Foundation Scholarship

The Ream Foundation Scholarship was established in 2008 by The REAM Foundation of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, to provide need-based scholarship support to a student in the College of Arts and Science. First preference is given to a Jewish studies major; second preference is given to a student from the Chicago area. For more information, contact the Office of Financial Aid.

The Miriam Halachmi Prize for Excellence in Modern Hebrew

This Miriam Halachmi Prize for Excellence in Modern Hebrew was established in 2015 in memory of educator and leader Miriam Halachmi, who was the heart and soul of the Vanderbilt Hebrew program for more than 30 years. A $50.00 cash prize is awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated excellence in Hebrew language studies at Vanderbilt University.

The Best Undergraduate Paper in Jewish Studies Prize

This end-of-year competition is open to students enrolled at Vanderbilt. Papers on any topic in Jewish religion, history, or culture are eligible for the contest. The winning author will receive a $50 prize and recognition on the departmental plaque.
