The Health Professions Advisory Office (HPAO) is here to assist Vanderbilt undergraduate students (and others with a Vanderbilt affiliation) interested in attending health professions graduate schools. We meet with students interested in medicine (both allopathic and osteopathic), dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, podiatric, etc. (Students interested in an advanced career in NURSING are encouraged to contact Dr. Jana Lauderdale at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing for advice and counseling.)

Instructions for Scheduling Appointments:

Dr. Grundy will be focusing primarily on COMMITTEE LETTER REVIEW MEETINGS this semester. (These are ONLY for 2018 Entering Cycle applicants who have attended the MANDATORY Info Session.) Students who qualify for those meetings may schedule them from the “book now” button below.  Although many slots have already been booked for the semester, summer and fall slots are still available.  There is no wait list, but cancellations do occur, and the openings will automatically appear in the online booking system.

Mrs. Rains will have GENERAL ADVISING MEETINGS , and those may be scheduled from the “book now” button below.

If you have questions specifically for Dr. Grundy, you may email Mrs. Rains at with:
          1)      Details about your meeting request
          2)      Days of the week and times you are typically available for a 20 minute meeting
She will assist you in arranging a 20 minute advising appointment with Dr. Grundy.
