Jack Crawford
Senior Lecturer in History of Art & Architecture
Jack Crawford (she/her) teaches modern and contemporary art of Europe and the United States in a global context. She holds a BA from Barnard College and a PhD in Art History from the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research and teaching emphasize interdisciplinary performance and artistic practices that engage with gender and sexuality. She is currently working on a book project which historicizes an aesthetic of “queer maximalism” in US-based performance since the 1950s.
