Jack Crawford

Lecturer in History of Art and Architecture

Jack Crawford is a teaching artist and art historian. She holds a BA from Barnard College and is currently completing her PhD in Art History at the CUNY Graduate Center. She has taught "Modern Art" and "Art in the US" at the New York City College of Technology and served as a Writing Across the Curriculum Fellow at Borough of Manhattan Community College from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, she received an ACLS/Luce Dissertation Fellowship in American Art and an award from the CUNY Committee on Globalization and Social Change in support of her dissertation, which articulates an aesthetic of “queer maximalism" in interdisciplinary performance practices in the postwar period.
