This is Threadcraft\u2019s second time winning, making her the first author in the award\u2019s history to do so.\u2060<br \/>\n\u2060<br \/>\nThe essay is an excerpt from her book, <a href=\"https:\/\/global.oup.com\/academic\/product\/the-labors-of-resurrection-9780197758588?cc=us&amp;lang=en&amp;\">The Labors of Resurrection: Black Women, Necromancy, and Morrisonian Democracy<\/a>, which won the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/apsanet.org\/PROGRAMS\/APSA-Awards\/Ralph-J-Bunche-Award\/\">Ralph J. Bunche Award<\/a> and the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/apsanet.org\/PROGRAMS\/APSA-Awards\/Victoria-Schuck-Award\/\">Victoria Schuck Award<\/a> from APSA, and won silver for the 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forewordreviews.com\/awards\/winners\/2025\/womens-studies\/\">Foreword Indies Book of the Year for Women\u2019s Studies<\/a>.
