Filosa wins Flaiano Prize

Elsa Filosa, Assistant Professor of the Practice in Italian at Vanderbilt University, won the prestigious Flaiano Awards of Literature in the category “Luca Attanasio, International Prize for Italian Studies” for the book “Boccaccio’s Florence”, published by the University of Toronto Press in 2022. The book was nominated by the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture of Chicago for the competition. The prize was awarded officially on June 25, 2023, in Pescara, Italy, and streamed on national television.
