MFA alum Edgar Kunz<\/a><\/strong> (’15) was named a 2026 Guggenheim Fellow<\/a>. Edgar Kunz is the author of two books:\u00a0Fixer<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(Ecco, 2023), a New York Times<\/em> Editors\u2019 Choice selection, and\u00a0Tap Out<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(Ecco, 2019), which the Washington Post<\/em> called “a gritty, insightful debut.\u201d Kunz has received fellowships and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, MacDowell, Hawthornden Foundation, Robert W. Deutsch Foundation, and Stanford University, where he was a Wallace Stegner Fellow. His work appears in the New Yorker<\/a>, Atlantic<\/a>, Poetry<\/a>, Oxford American<\/a>, Yale Review<\/a><\/em>, and American Poetry Review<\/em><\/a>, among others.\u00a0He splits his time between Baltimore and Richmond, where he teaches in the English Department and MFA program at VCU.\u00a0His next book is about growing up in a medieval anachronist society.<\/p>\n
