Director of Creative Writing and Department of English Professor Major Jackson<\/strong><\/a> provides his writing expertise in “Devouring the Art of Language.”<\/p>\n

\u201cLyric poetry has as its material the dazzling complexity and beauty of raw emotions and thought, which can be awkward and embarrassing,\u201d Jackson said. \u201cMy classes are about normalizing the conversations we have with ourselves while learning to give them shape.\u201d<\/p>\n
