Vanderbilt Reading Series<\/a> on November 6 with her novel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/us.macmillan.com\/books\/9780374109288\/beautyland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Beautyland<\/em><\/a>, an American Book Award winner and National Book Critics Circle finalist, which follows Adina Giorno, born with unusual perception to a single mother in Philadelphia.\u00a0The arrival of a fax machine enables her to contact her extraterrestrial relatives, beings who have sent her to report on the oddities of Earthlings.
