Vanderbilt Reading Series<\/a> on October 16 with her new novel <a href=\"https:\/\/groveatlantic.com\/book\/the-unveiling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Unveiling<\/em><\/a>, which chronicles the struggles of Striker, a Black film scout, who, along with a group of wealthy white tourists, becomes stranded on a remote island in the Antarctic Peninsula during a Christmas cruise. NPR called the book, &#8220;Crystalline . . .
