The Whiting Award-winning author of the novel <em>The Midnight Cool<\/em> and the story collection <em>Reasons For and Advantages of Breathing,\u00a0<\/em>a<em> New York Times Book Review <\/em>Editors\u2019 Choice book which received an honorable mention for the PEN\/Hemingway Award and was a finalist for The Orion Book Prize, Peelle is also a\u00a0recipient of the National Book Foundation&#8217;s &#8220;5 Under 35&#8221; honor and the Anahid Award for Armenian American writers.
