On Wednesday, March 25, at 6:30pm, join Nashville’s Porch Writers’ Collective and Vanderbilt’s Special Collections and University Archives to celebrate the launch of the latest issue of SWING literary magazine. The Porch founded SWING, a biannual journal showcasing emerging and established writers, in 2022. Editor Leigh Anne Couch will speak on the history of literary magazines and her vision for SWING, and authors Tony Earley, Troy Coll, and Lisa Kathryn Perry will read from their work. Curator Mary McSparran will also present a pop-up exhibit showcasing historic literary journals from Vanderbilt’s collections. Light refreshments will be provided.
