Both theoretical and observational research is carried out at Vanderbilt, with the work carried out at various national, international and space-platform facilities. In addition, Vanderbilt helps operate the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kilodegree_Extremely_Little_Telescope\">KELT<\/a> survey for transiting extrasolar planets, and members of the group are active participants in the <a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/mission\/kepler\">Kepler<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/sdss3.org\">SDSS 3 <\/a>collaborations, as well as preparing for future large-scale projects like <a href=\"http:\/\/space.mit.edu\/TESS\/TESS\/TESS_Overview.html\">TESS<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lsst.org\/\">LSST<\/a>.
