We are\u00a0developping a tool allowing to upload light-curves, searching for periodic\u00a0signals and classifying signals found by several neural networks. A more\u00a0detailed description is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/AnS\/physics\/vida\/ebfactory.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">We currently concentrate on Eclipsing Binaries and RR-Lyrae type variables.\u00a0The panel graphics show sample light curves for Eclipsing binaries (top\u00a0left: contact, top right: detached) and RR Lyrae (bottom left: RRc, bottom\u00a0right RRab).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a style=\"color: #ff4b33;line-height: 20px\" href=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/panel.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-528\" title=\"panelsmall\" src=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/panelsmall.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/panelsmall.png 600w, https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/panelsmall-300x224.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Light curves identified as binaries are post-processed by a &#8220;Solution\u00a0Estimator&#8221;, another neural network developped and trained by Andrej Prsa at\u00a0Villanova University, yielding an estimate for properties such as relative\u00a0temperatures and sizes.<\/p>\n<p>This pipeline is able to classify and estimate massive amounts of light\u00a0curves as produced (several thousands per second on a desktop class PC) and\u00a0to sort out the &#8220;interesting&#8221; systems such as an RR-Lyra type variable as\u00a0part of an Eclipsing binary.<\/p>\n<p>The histogram shows the retrieval rates and false positives for several main\u00a0categories of variable stars.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/classgraph1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-527 aligncenter\" title=\"classgraph\" src=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/classgraph1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/classgraph1.png 500w, https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/astronomy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/71\/2012\/08\/classgraph1-300x240.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The goal of EBFactory is to manage masses of data and light curves as\u00a0produced by Kepler and the oncoming LSST.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EBFactory\/RRLFactory is an extendable end to end pipelane for period\u00a0finding, classification and post-processing stellar light curves.
