She has collaborated with communities in Resolute Ba and Pong Inlet, Nunavut since 2008 when she was invited UK organization Cape Farewell on an Arctic expedition. Her research based practice invites reflection on the deep time of ice and the interconnection between human and natural systems. Celebrating both beauty and complexities of the polar regions, her work offers a meditative reminder of humanity’s place within the vast geological and ecological cycles of the Earth.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1440\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/vu-cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2025\/01\/15173647\/Of-a-Difference-in-Which-the-Differences-Are-Inseparable-HR-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/vu-cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2025\/01\/15173647\/Of-a-Difference-in-Which-the-Differences-Are-Inseparable-HR-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/vu-cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2025\/01\/15173647\/Of-a-Difference-in-Which-the-Differences-Are-Inseparable-HR-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/vu-cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2025\/01\/15173647\/Of-a-Difference-in-Which-the-Differences-Are-Inseparable-HR-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/vu-cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2025\/01\/15173647\/Of-a-Difference-in-Which-the-Differences-Are-Inseparable-HR-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/vu-cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2025\/01\/15173647\/Of-a-Difference-in-Which-the-Differences-Are-Inseparable-HR-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/vu-cas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2025\/01\/15173647\/Of-a-Difference-in-Which-the-Differences-Are-Inseparable-HR-2048x2048.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>
“Of a Difference in Which the Differences Are Inseparable,” 2022, oil on wood, 9in x 9in, Jessica Houston.
