Bronson Ingram Studio Arts Center located in the heart of the Vanderbilt campus. The facility offers light-filled rooms for classes, individual studios for senior majors, a well-equipped lecture hall, and galleries that can be expanded from one space to four to accommodate exhibitions and critiques. Among the benefits of the art building is the experimental gallery, Space 204, which hosts student shows as well as curated shows of current interest and which acts as a workshop for artists in residence. The first floor of the building has a dedicated space for student work exhibiting class projects and unique group and solo exhibitions.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/art\/space-204\/\">Space 204 <\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The contemporary gallery space for the Department of Art, Space 204 is located on the second floor of the E. Bronson Ingram Studio Arts Center.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/as.vanderbilt.edu\/art\/exhibitions-student-exhibits\/\">Student Gallery<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Located on the first floor of the E. Bronson Ingram Studio Arts Center, the Student Gallery is an exhibition space designated for art students to exhibit their work in curated solo and group exhibitions. The gallery walls are drywall backed by plywood and can accommodate wall-mounted, floor-based, video, and audio-based work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Additional Exhibition Resources (not operated by the Art Department):<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Museum of Art<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.vanderbilt.edu\/gallery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vanderbilt University Museum of Art<\/a> is located in the newly renovated Cohen Memorial Hall and features six exhibitions each year drawn from Vanderbilt\u2019s extensive permanent collection.<\/p>\n<h2>Sarratt Gallery<\/h2>\n<p>Located in the lobby of the Sarratt Student Center, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/sarrattgallery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sarratt Gallery<\/a> is known for its unique exhibits featuring paintings, sculpture, drawings, photography, prints, and multimedia works of the mid-South\u2019s most noted contemporary artists.<\/p>\n<h2>Begonia Labs<\/h2>\n<p>Located at 2805 West End Ave, Nashville, Tn &#8211; just on the edge of campus, Begonia Labs is the experimental project space operated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/eadj\/\">Engine for Art, Democracy &amp; Justice<\/a>, program founded by Dr. Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons.This trans-institutional research initiative is an ongoing collaboration between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fisk.edu\/\">Fisk University<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/fristartmuseum.org\/\">Frist Art Museum<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/millionsofconversations.com\/\">Millions of Conversations<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/\">Vanderbilt University<\/a> that explores creative approaches to living together in the South(s)! \u00a0This host a curated roster of exhibitions, artist interventions, public programs, and supported by the Mellon Foundation and the Ford Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Art occupies the E.
