Join VAGSA's Brown Bag series for a Workshop on Pedagogies for an Inclusive Classroom this Friday, November 1st from 12:10 to 1:00 in Garland 121 Joe Bandy, Assistant Director of Vanderbilt's Center for Teaching, will present on the core philosophies of critical, feminist, and culturally-relevant pedagogies and introduce additional resources the CFT offers for the creation of inclusive classrooms.

Discussion Revisiting Revolution  The anthropology department will be hosting a symposium in a few weeks entitled Revisiting Revolution: 50 Years of Peasant Wars in Latin America. In preparation for this symposium, Professors Lesley Gill and Carwil Bjork-James would like to lead a discussion about Eric Wolf's work and its significance, especially with regards to political movements happening and not happening across Latin America today. The discussion will be held on Friday, September 13 at noon. Lunch will be provided. They have asked that in preparation for the discussion, you take a look at the short preface to the book (attached here).
