Online Learning in San Salvador

San Salvador

With support from a Vanderbilt Strong grant Dr. Ross was able to set up a small computer lab in the youth center he established in a marginalized area outside San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador. The lab will serve him, his students and collaborators to interact remotely with the local youth, while also allowing the youths to finally participate in online schooling. El Salvador's school have been online / semi online for over a year with no provisions made for children with limited or no internet access. The first video-call went out to Gabriela Ore, one of the Department's graduate students.
