General Collection of Software
The Library maintains a collection of films on tape and disc, housed in Government Information and Media Services (GIMS) on the Fourth Stack.
Faculty needing to use particular films in class should put them on reserve by going on line to Acorn. https://secureforms.library.vanderbilt.edu/requests/video.phtml. This will assure that the films will be available when needed for class. Any teacher in the College of Arts and Science may request a title to be shown in his/her class by calling (322-4855) and scheduling the showing. Students giving presentations in A&S classes may schedule use in the same manner. VU/IT Media Services will pick up the film from the Library and deliver it to the class and then pick up the film when the class is finished.
Anyone needing to schedule a showing outside of class time or during class time but in another room may call Media Services and we will help find a room and schedule the showing.
Faculty who own a film that they would like for students to view may put it On Reserve in the Government Information and Media Services (GIMS) office in the Library.
