Major or Minor in French

More than 300 students study French at Vanderbilt every semester. Many choose to begin their language here, while others build on what they have learned in high school.  Using internet technology and interactive materials, students at all levels study language, history, civilization, film, business, and literature.

Many students choose to study at Vanderbilt-in-France in Aix-en-Provence.

The department offers several scholarships for the Vanderbilt-in-France program as well as awards for meritorious students.  The national French honor society Pi Delta Phi is represented by our chapter, Kappa Lambda. Click here for information about scholarships and awards.
