Honors Program
The European Studies program offers qualified students the option of an Honors Program. To be admitted to the program students must have obtained a minimum grade point average of 3.000; identify an advisor for the thesis; submit a detailed description of their proposed program of study for approval of the director of the EUS; complete 3 hours of independent research (normally EUS 289a or EUS 289b); complete 3 hours of credit in EUS 250, Senior Seminar; and write a thesis of approximately 50 pages, which the student must defend before a committee ordinarily consisting of the advisor, the director of the European Studies, and another faculty member.
