Largest 3-D map of the universe released to public

The Sloan Digital Sky Survey III (SDSS-III) has released its ninth data release DR9, which has the largest-ever 3-D map of massive galaxies and distant black holes. Vanderbilt University is part of the SDSS-III collaboration.
